Brandon Hill Park is one of Bristol’s best green spaces all year round, but in Autumn, it has a particular charm to it. It’s very picturesque for a romantic stroll and you can head up to Cabot Tower for panoramic views of Bristol and the harbourside.
2. Enjoy a romantic cinema screening at the Everyman

Nothing says romance quite like a candlelit dinner, and coming just in time for Autumn is Fever’s much-loved Dining In The Dark events. 4. Glide around an ice rink together
The perfect excuse to hold hands with your date – every year Bristol is blessed with a number of ice rinks, all dotted around the city centre and at the Winter Wonderland at Cribbs Causeway. The rinks usually hit town early November (COVID permitting!), so keep your eyes peeled for announcements this Autumn. Otherwise for a change of a scenery and cute day trip, head to Bath On Ice.
5. Go on a cheese crawl around Bristol together
There’s nothing better than bonding over a love for cheese. Join The Bristol Cheese Crawl for two and a half hours of non-stop cheese: from swanky blue cheese and gooey grilled cheeses, to cheesy jokes and interactive cheese-themed quizzes and competitions. So, book your tickets for the most brielliant walking tour that Bristol has to offer.
6. See Blaise Castle in all of its Autumnal glory
Another fabulous green spot – this time in north-west Bristol, Blaise Castle Estate is beautiful all year round. And while it’s extra pretty in full bloom over the summer, the Autumnal shades in October and beyond make for a lovely little walk.
7. Pick your own pumpkins and carve something special together
Getting into the Halloween spirit? There’s nothing more wholesome than picking your own pumpkin to later carve, and there are multiple pumpkin patches in the Bristol area where you can do that and feel a little grown-up while doing it. Some farms serve delicious food and drink as well as being able to stroll around the pumpkin patch and enjoy a glass of something from the bar whilst taking some seasonal snaps for the ‘gram.
8. Enjoy cocktails on a cosy, heated terrace
Fancy a cosy cocktail? We know just the place. Decked out with outdoor heaters, thick blankets and a beautiful view of Clifton Suspension Bridge – The White Lion in Hotel Du Vin serves up an array of drinks that are great for both dates and girl’s nights, with a lengthy menu featuring a little something for everyone. 11. Escape to a treehouse in the Somerset hills
A gorgeous treehouse tucked away just outside of Bristol, there’s no better local escape to hide away with your one and only.
