Stuck for things to do in Bristol this summer? You shouldn’t be. Avon Valley Adventure Park is ready to reopen for the school holidays on Saturday (July 19), and it’s even offering you the chance to return for free on your second visit before the end of summer (Sunday, August 31).
Every day throughout the summer holidays, Summertopia! will offer a unique blend of family attractions and activities. From the 50-metre giant slip ’n’ slide to the South West’s largest animatronic dinosaur collection—including a brand-new, lifelike baby triceratops—every inch of the park is bursting with excitement.
What can I find at Summertopia!?
Summertopia! is fully embracing the holiday vibes this year. Check out the beach zone to splash in two giant paddling pools or build sand castles by the new-for-this-year beach huts. Or, for those who love to party, there’s also a brand new silent disco, while every day wraps up with an unmissable foam party finale—just remember to pack a change of clothes.
You can also explore Dinosaur Valley, and meet a one-of-a-kind velociraptor; scale the climbing tower at Adrenaline Heights; ride the Strawberry Line miniature railway; or take on go-karts, lawn games, mini golf and the ever-popular 4 x 4, off-road mini Jeep dino safari. Meanwhile, little ones can explore the scaled-down Toddler Village.
You won’t see everything in one go, and repeat visits are a must—so we’re grateful for Avon Valley Adventure Park’s ‘return for free’ offer! Just make sure to visit on Saturday, August 30, for a massive family waterfight. Bring your own supersoakers to the Water Fight Zone for the ultimate summer cool-down.
That’s all because on Fridays, the park even opens for free from 5:30pm for dinner and drinks. Late Night Fridays turns Avon Valley into a family-friendly beer garden (staying opening until 9pm) with live music, wood-fired pizza and cocktails. Families can also camp or glamp on-site, with pitches for tents, campervans and luxury bell tents—some with their own private hot tubs.
