Want to go skiing near Bristol? There isn’t any lush snow of the Bavarian Alps, but you can still take the slopes at the likes of Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre and the Mendip Activity Centre. What you won’t find is the best bit of heading up the mountain, and that’s grabbing a hard-earned, refreshing drink from the après ski bar afterwards.
Taking over the former PRYZM site near Millennium Square, Barbara’s Bier Haus will set up its Bavarian basecamp next week (Friday, April 11) in Bristol. You can expect “the very best bits of an après ski bar” without the high altitude, from bartenders in lederhosen to shots served on skis. There are even huge beer and cocktail towers you can order.
Open every night of the week (Sunday to Friday, 4pm to 3am; Saturday, 12pm to 3am), there will also be quizzes and karaoke, live music and DJs, brunches and bingo, and so much more. Plus, a free photobooth and even some surprise giveaways when you least expect it! We’ve not even told you the best bit yet: It’s happy hour every day at Barbara’s Bier Haus, from 4 to 8pm, with 50% off all drinks.
“Barbara’s Bier Haus is set to become the go-to venue for fun-seekers looking to socialise in Bristol,” said a spokesperson for Barbara’s. “It’s a place where locals, students, and anyone looking for a night of après ski fun can come together, leave the ordinary behind, and create unforgettable memories.
“Mark your calendars for Friday, 11th April, grab your skis, and join the celebration as this new chapter in Bristol’s nightlife unfolds. Welcome to Barbara’s, where the vibe is contagious, the energy is electric, and every night out promises the excitement of the ultimate après ski experience – this is party at its peak!”
