Today might be a washout in Bristol and pretty much every other day too recently. But we have high hopes that the weather will improve before summer ends. (We’ve got one on the weather app at all times.) When it does, we’re going to explode with sunshine feelings! Our first port of call will be to the best water park in Europe.
Because apparently, it’s only two hours from Bristol! Dorset Adventure Park has been crowned Europe’s best water park of 2023. Meaning you don’t need to go on holiday for a splashing good time. Just head down to the Jurassic Coast. Showers to You looked at over 562 water parks in Europe to find its winner. Analysing a number of reputable review sites, like TripAdvisor, to uncover Europe’s highest-rated water park, an average score was calculated in order to attain an overall user rating.
Nestled in a valley beside the ruins of Corfe Castle, Dorset Adventure Park achieved an average guest review score of 4.71 out of a possible 5. More than living up to its name, the adventure park not only offers a floating wipe-out style course with over 200m of inflatable obstacles set on two beautiful lakes. But also a mud trail assault course with over 50 messy obstacles to overcome. Dorset Adventure Park has an 8% higher average rating than the UK-based water park, Subtropical Swimming Paradise in eighth place (4.33/5), while Aqua Parcs came in joint ninth place (4.31).
If you do fancy fleeing the UK for another brilliant water park in Europe, maybe head over to Poland. Coming in second (4.54/5), Energylandia is famous for its tropical island-styled water park, home to 14 slides of all shapes and sizes, as well as a beach to relax on. While for somewhere sunnier, third place went to Siam Park in Tenerife (4.44/5), which is home to a series of attractions that cater to every type of holiday.
