You already know it from London or TikTok. Blank Street only launched this decade, but it’s already one of the most iconic coffee shop chains on the high street. It helps when you’ve made viral drinks, such as the Blueberry Matcha, and had celebrity visits from Molly-Mae Hague and Sabrina Carpenter.
The popular New York café brand launched as a coffee cart in a Brooklyn diner in 2020, but has since expanded to London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, and very recently opened its first location in Leeds. The next UK city in its sights? Where else but Bristol?
Specifically, it’s taking over a spot near the top of Park Street, the former Fred Perry shop, with room for around 30 people. Expect the now-iconic green-and-white-fronted store to focus on its viral matchas, speciality cold brew and the classic flat white, alongside a range of pastries.
“82 Park Street and Park Street more broadly feel like the kind of spot where historic charm and urban energy collide,” said Bradley Architecture, on behalf of Blank Street. “The building itself is a Grade II Listed Georgian property with elegant stone facades and a classic shopfront that cements heritage and permanence.

“In essence, 82 Park Street embodies an ‘old meets young’ city vibe with heritage architecture exuding gravitas and changing vibrant urban street life with energy and spontaneity.”
Blank Street joins Gail’s as another heavily venture-backed coffee shop competing with independent cafés on Park Street—which already includes Coffee Under Pressure, Boston Tea Party, Mrs Potts Chocolate House, Woodes, Gather, ROCO, Restore, Crafty Beans and Taste of Napoli.
So does Park Street really need “another one”? Well, some might argue that’s exactly why Blank Street and Gail’s are opening in oversubscribed areas. They are setting up in proven successful spots, with very high footfall and an affluent consumer base. While there’s no opening date for Blank Street yet, we’ll let you know when there is.
