We love a bottomless brunch at the best of times but it seems one pub in Bristol has taken things up a notch this festive season with none other than a bottomless Christmas lunch. Yeah, that’s right. Combining bottomless glasses of bubbly with a Christmas meal with all the trimmings, it’s hard not to resist.

The city’s oldest ale house, The Shakespeare Tavern, is serving a Yuletide feast to Bristolians this festive season alongside copious booze- after all it is a pub. The Shakespeare Tavern claims to date back as far as 1722 and that the building was originally a Georgian merchant house which later became a dockside inn in 1777.

Once a haunt of ship workers and warehouse men, and even the possible pirate, The Shakespeare Tavern is now a Greene King-owned pub that appeals to a wide range of drinkers, both near and far. This wood-panelled Bristol pub is perfect to cosy up at over the winter especially feasting on a Christmas lunch and a drink in hand.

As part of the pub’s bottomless Christmas lunch, diners can choose from turkey with all the trimmings or a veggie-friendly beetroot wellington. Costing £30 per person and with 90 minutes of unlimited prosecco, Ice Breaker pale ale, Aperol spritz or bottles of Peroni, this boozy festive feast is both a good deal and guaranteed to bring plenty of seasonal cheer.

As well as serving a bottomless Christmas lunch this festive season, The Shakespeare Tavern is serving a four-course Christmas dinner on Christmas Day. The pub will be serving the likes of hand-carved turkey, goose fat roast potatoes and all the trimmings (including a Yorkshire Pud) and they will also have a beetroot, butternut squash and cranberry wellington, and much more.

The Shakespeare Tavern also has some festive specials such as their festive burger comprising of a 6oz aged shin and rib beef burger, sausage meat patty, Croxton Manor Brie, smoky mayo, smoked streaky bacon, red onion, baby gem, tomato, cranberry BBQ sauce, beer-battered onion rings and sprout slaw with rosemary-salted fries. Wash that all down with wintery drinks like mulled wine, mulled cider and winter spritz featuring sloe gin, Aperol, prosecco, soda and orange.

You can pre-book a Christmas bottomless lunch online, or with a member of staff in person, and is served from 11am-5pm Thursday to Sunday.
