Despite the accent, not everyone in Bristol is a farmer, but we still love a farm shop. Whether it’s artisan cheeses, locally brewed beers, free-range eggs, grass-fed beef, or handmade marmalades, we can’t get enough – I just wish I didn’t come home smelling of a barnyard every time I visited.
Best known for its appearance in ‘Clarkson’s Farm’, Diddly Squat Farm Shop in the Cotswolds is over an hour and a half drive from Bristol. But now, you can order a whole range of its products from the hay-free comfort of your home in less than 20 minutes thanks to Deliveroo HOP (Deliveroo’s on-demand grocery service).
Fans of the award-nominated TV series in Bristol, London, Manchester, and Brighton can order a variety of Diddly Squat Farm Shop bestsellers. Items include Jeremy’s Hot Seed Beer Mustard, Bee Juice Honey, homemade rapeseed oils, snacks like hand-cut crisps, pork scratchings and fudge, and, the highly sought-after premium beer range, Hawkstone.
Lisa Hogan at Diddly Squat Farm Shop said: “I’ve made sure to include all of our best sellers in this exclusive range, including Jeremy’s Hot Seed Beer Mustard, our Habanero Chilli Chutney, hand-cut crisps, and for something a little stronger, our Cow Juice Vodka and Bee Juice Rum. We hope you enjoy our Diddly Squat products as much as we’ve enjoyed making them for you.”
Like any good farm shop, you will be paying a premium. Prices start from £1.99 for a 40g bag of Diddly Squat’s Cheese & Onion Crisps (about double what you’d spend for a similar packet of Walkers crisps). And reach as high as £45 for a bottle of Le Pop’ Sparkling Wine. A four-pack of Hawkstone will cost £11. Plus, delivery and service fees, obviously.
