Bristol is quite the food haven and blessed with plenty of spots to cure our hunger pains, but sometimes we crave good ol’ comfort food. Luckily, one street food stall in Bristol can rustle up quite the remedy in the form of cheese toasties.

For Mice And Men, who pop-up at multiple markets across the city, can fulfil all your cheesy carb dreams with their oozy cheese toasties. Grilled cheese, cheese toastie, cheese on toast – whatever you choose to call it, melted cheese and bread works together. Wonderfully.

Setting up shop back in 2015, the owners of For Mice And Men, Vic and Tim, serve up an array of cheese-tastic toasties packed full of flavours. Plus, you’re never too far away from a cheese toastie fix since you’ll find the street food stall at a number of markets such as Finzels Reach, Temple Quay and the Harbourside, plus the Tobacco Factory.

Every day is a gouda day since For Mice And Men opened up its stall to serve their magnificent cheese toasties. Whether you’re peckish before work or in need of a hangover cure or both, a cheese toastie from this Bristol stall should be a perfect start to your day.

Each of their toasties is served on toasted, organic sourdough bread, plus it features local cheese and butter handmade by For Mice And Men. Expect epic flavours including their Huevos Rancheros cheese toastie filled with West Country cheddar, free range eggs, pico de gallo, jalapeños and optional smoked bacon.

For pizza lovers, For Mice And Men has created a pizza pepperoni cheese toastie featuring cheddar topped with pepperoni, salami, fresh mozzarella, their traditional marinara sauce and fresh basil- plus, there’s a veggie option too. Other veggie options include spinach and artichoke (cheddar-based cheese trio with an indulgent layer of their spinach and artichoke mix); Frenchy (camembert, green olives and red onion); and the classic cheese and tomato (West Country farmhouse cheddar and vine tomato with the addition of homemade aioli).

Plus, you can even create your own custom cheese toastie in order to enjoy the combination of your dreams. Simply choose from their award-winning West Country Cheddar, home-smoked whiskey oak Cheddar, Colston Bassett Stilton, or creamy Camembert (and this stall certainly doesn’t scrimp on the cheese), then add your toppings of choice followed by For Mice And Men’s homemade sauces and blends drizzled on top.
