With so many festivals and events set to go ahead in the coming months, it’s sure to be a fun-filled summer. And with some warmer weather expected to arrive, we can add a few more outdoor activities to our calendar. Including this gin-fuelled cruise, providing refreshing drinks and excellent views of the sun-soaked harbour.
Bristol Ferry has announced the return of their series of gin boat cruises, which will take place aboard their distinguishable yellow flotillas this summer. The experience gives lovers of the drink a chance to sip away on some refreshing juniper-based beverages whilst taking in the many sights along Bristol’s harbourside.
A Bristol Ferry spokesperson said: “Why not join us for a fun-filled evening as we cruise around the sun-soaked harbour. Sipping gin whilst taking in the sights and sounds of Bristol’s bustling waterfront, what could be better?
“As we make waves around the docks, you can relax and unwind with two gin-based drinks which we promise will tickle the taste buds of any landlubber!”
The ferry operator has a total of 15 boozy trips lined up for the summer, which will take place between June 1 and September 28, with each gin cruise setting off at 6pm. The pick-up location for Bristol Ferry’s gin cruise is at the city centre landing stage and will last one and a half hours. Tickets cost £20 and include two complimentary drinks, with more available to buy on board, as after all, sightseeing is thirsty work.
And if gin isn’t your tipple of choice, Bristol Ferry will also offer ferry trips from Welsh Back to ‘Bristol’s best kept secret’, Beeses Bar, where you can enjoy listening to live music on arrival and sip a drink whilst on route to get your weekend off to a flying start. The gin cruise trips take place most Thursdays on June 1, 8, 22, 19; July 6, 13, 27, August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31; and September 14, 21, 28. You can book your tickets here.
