Bristol has long been the UK’s ballooning capital—centred around this weekend’s world-renowned Balloon Fiesta—so where better to launch the very first hot air balloon pub than the South West? Beavertown is offering the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip in a pub above the clouds this upcoming August bank holiday weekend.
According to the London-based brewery, more than two-thirds (67%) of the UK feel they do the same thing every bank holiday weekend, and almost half (46%) wish they were more spontaneous with their plans. So, for this August, Beavertown is encouraging people across the UK to break out of their comfort zone.

On Saturday, August 23, The Beavertown Skulloon Tavern, the UK’s first hot air balloon pub, will take flight. Inspired by the illustrated skull hot air balloon that adorns Beavertown’s Neck Oil cans, you can win the chance to be its first and only customers—sipping on chilled beers 2,000ft above the British countryside.
“We are a nation of people holding ourselves back,” Tom Rainsford, Marketing Director at Beavertown, said. “But we believe life gets a lot more interesting when you stick your neck out, embrace spontaneity. Too often, we stick to what we know out of habit or convenience, but exciting things rarely happen when we play it safe.”
How do I win a trip in Beavertown’s hot air balloon pub?

The competition is open to all UK residents aged 18+. Beavertown will organise travel for the winner and their plus one from wherever they are in the UK to the Bath area, providing accommodation too. To enter the competition, you just need to fill in a few personal details and answer the question: “What is holding you back from sticking your neck out this August Bank Holiday?”
You can do so by heading here.
