Somehow LEGO continues to be the greatest invention ever made. Generations have played with some variations of plastic construction toys. Kids today (despite all the gadgets and computers) still sink endless hours into building bricks into castles, spaceships, racetracks and more. So everyone should be excited about this LEGO Brick Festival taking place near Bristol.
This second edition of the LEGO festival (which launched back in May) will return to Hutton Moor Leisure Centre in Weston-super-Mare in November. The Weston Brick Festival will give kids (and big kids) of all ages the chance to play, create and show off their brick-building skills. Plus, there’ll be plenty of other brick-based games and activities available too.
On November 5, visitors can expect speed building competitions, large-scale displays and a dedicated building area. The LEGO Brick Festival will also offer adult fans of LEGO (AFOL) the opportunity to exhibit their work. Traders will be selling loose bricks, new LEGO sets, retired LEGO sets, mini-figures and accessories too.
Whether you’re a family of LEGO lovers, an obsessive collector or just an adult builder, the Weston Brick Festival is a must-not-miss. Grab a large Pick-&-Build Cup for only £6 and create something out of nothing. Or see some mesmerising displays, which at previous events have included a large-scale Mos Eisley Spaceport diorama from Star Wars!
Established in 2018, Brick Festivals have taken place all over the UK but this will be the first in the South West. This LEGO Brick Festival is open to all ages too. Early Bird tickets (which come with a free LEGO gift and entry from 10am) cost £12. For entry from 11am: an adult ticket is £6, a child (6-12) is £4, and under 5s go free. A family ticket (2 adults & 2 children) costs £17.
