Lidl Is Launching A New Chocolate Orange Flavoured Gin In Stores Tomorrow

Finally some good news…

This year has brought us chocolate orange hot chocolates, chocolate orange-themed hotel rooms and now chocolate orange flavoured gin! Say what you want about 2020 but it has its moments. It is a truth universally acknowledged that the only combination greater than chocolate and orange, is chocolate, orange and alcohol. So thank you Lidl for this gift, I know what I’ll be asking Santa for this year.

After the latest lockdown news, I’m sure some people want to drown their sorrows (and by some people, I mean me). So why not treat yourself to a bottle of Lidl’s finest? There’s something about the citrusy tang of an orange, mixed with chocolate that is both indulgent and refreshing. Add some gin to the mix and you’re in for a great time. Titled the Brecon, this new gin is already garnering a lot of attention and it’ll be available in stores all over the UK from tomorrow (November 3).

For £18.99 you can bag yourself a 70cl bottle and put your own spin on the classic G&T. And if you’re wondering what the new beverage tastes like, a Lidl representative said “The Brecon Chocolate Orange Gin boasts flavours of powdery cocoa and silky vanilla with bursts of sweet orange and an unmistakably full-bodied juniper.”

The Brecon is part of Lidl’s winter-themed Spirits Festival range, which features twelve new premium craft spirits. Another festive beverage you’ll find on Lidl’s shelves is the Anno Spiced Cranberry Gin. Forget cranberry sauce, this what we need on the table next to our turkey on Christmas day. Other flavours include the Harborough Spirits Company Pear Drop Gin and Bristol Distillings Dark Fruits Gin, both sweet and fantastically festive. Bottoms up!

In other news, Aldi is releasing pink prosecco just in time for the festive season.
