You guys know we do our best to keep you in the know about the best food in Bristol, whether it’s a hidden gem restaurant or a one-off pop-up. And if you’ve been following along with our Deliveroo Doorstep Taste Tour thus far, you might already know about a very exciting, upcoming foodie event we’ve got in store for you. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working with Deliveroo to create a bespoke limited edition Sri Lankan dish, created in collaboration with Josie Gibson and Nadu. And the best part is, we’ll be giving away 450 for free on March 15 from 5pm at Nadu in Stokes Croft.
A word of advice – these bespoke dishes will be dished up on a first come, first served basis and they’re guaranteed to go like hot cakes. So we’d recommend getting yourself down to the Nadu food giveaway pronto if you want to be in with a chance of getting one. As a local Bristol resident and a self-confessed foodie, we knew Josie would be the perfect person to work with to dream up a show stopping dish with the talented team at Nadu. She’ll even be there on the Dish-Up Day helping to give the first 450 lucky Bristolians their food!
So what exactly does this limited edition dish entail? Piled onto a bed of rice, there’ll be tender Kalupol chicken thighs cooked in smoky spices with fresh coconut milk. And don’t be too disheartened if you don’t manage to secure one of these mouthwatering meals at the Nadu food giveaway on the Dish-Up Day – 400 more will be available to purchase on Deliveroo across the following Monday and Tuesday (March 18-19) for just £3 per dish.*
