Delicious doughnuts have arrived on Bristol’s longest road.
With April now in full swing, it seems Bristol’s foodie scene is making a comeback with new openings and pop-ups emerging across the city, including a popular bakery amongst Bristolians. The home of the sour-dough-nut, Pinkmans Bakery, has announced that it has opened a pop-up store this week on Bristol’s longest road, Gloucester Road.
The bakery announced the news with an Instagram post saying: “We’ve popped up at 324 Gloucester Road! (opposite the Horfield Co-Op) We’re open from 9am to 3pm today and will be open with the same hours tomorrow and Saturday this week. Our hours will adapt but we’ll keep you posted. We’re very excited about our new venture which cements our partnership with our friends at @25aoldmarket. We’ll have all our delicious Pinkmans goodies ready for you to enjoy in a new location.”
Pinkmans Bakery, who has a permanent store on Park Street, has joined forces with coffee and provisions shop, 25a Old Market, to transform one of the outlets on Gloucester Road and emblazoning it with their iconic pink sign. The legendary bakery will be serving plenty of doughnuts, coffee, sourdough bread, pastries and lunch dishes for those in the Bishopston and Horfield areas to enjoy.
25a Old Market, who recently had their shop front window broken (and has now been replaced), already stocks Pinkmans pastries and doughnuts in their shop, but with this latest collaboration with their pop-up we’ve got our fingers crossed that there could be more to come. Pinkmans Bakery’s latest bakes feature sour-dough-nuts in a range of flavours including rhubarb; raspberry and white chocolate; vanilla cream and raspberry jam; honeycomb mousse; and chocolate pecan brownie. You’ll also find brilliant brownies, flavoursome foccacia, cute cinnamon rolls and more at both of Pinkmans Bakery stores.
Pinkmans Bakery also revealed that Bristol florist, Pretty Wild, will also be on hand to brighten their pop-up store with plenty of beautiful flowers. The Gloucester Road pop-up is open from April 8, 9am to 3pm.
