Monologue plays can appear boring or uneventful to someone who has never witnessed one before. However, as Samuel Beckett’s ‘Happy Days’ is considered one of the best plays of all time, it comes as no surprise that the one-woman show ‘Prima Facie’ won Olivier and Tony awards, starring Killing Eve‘s Jodie Comer.
Jodie Comer is coming back to the stage once again for ‘one last time’, embarking on a UK tour in 2026. The tour is set to kick off at Richmond Theatre on January 23, 2026, before heading to the Gaiety in Dublin, the Royal Lyceum in Edinburgh, Cardiff’s New Theatre, the Grand Opera House in York, Theatre Royal in Bath, from February 24 to 28, Canterbury’s Marlowe theatre, Birmingham Rep and finishing off at the Liverpool Playhouse.

Written by Suzie Miller, the monologue follows a barrister who defends men accused of rape, and ends up being assaulted herself. The play was researched by sitting in actual trials, depicting realistic scenarios that happen in the juridical system. The plot criticizes the way the system deals with cases of sexual assault and the challenges of proving rape.
“It is a huge privilege to return to ‘Prima Facie’ for one last time,” Comer told The Guardian. “I can’t think of a better finale to what has been such an incredible and deeply rewarding chapter in my life.”
The resonance of Suzie Miller’s writing, both in London and New York, exceeded anything we could have imagined. The play probes the way the legal system deals with sexual assault, particularly the challenge of proving rape beyond a reasonable doubt at trial. Miller has said that, in such cases, “the forum of the court is not fit for purpose.”
It is not the easiest watch, and an advance trigger warning is advised for anyone who might need it.
Tickets go on sale in Bath’s Theatre Royal to Associates from March 25, Friends from March 27, and General sale from April 3. You can book your tickets here.
