If you’re looking to get vaccinated, head to Primark.
Primark has teamed up with the NHS to offer a Pfizer vaccination pop-up during the weekend of July 17-18. Over 18-year-olds who have yet to receive their first COVID-19 jab, or have been waiting more than eight weeks for their second dose, have the opportunity to get vaccinated at the Broadmead Shopping Centre branch over the weekend.
Any adult will be able to turn up and get their first vaccine if they have not already taken up the offer. Those who have receive their vaccination at Primark can then go on to explore the retail store’s rails and bag themselves a new wardrobe.
Sunseekers looking to enjoy the warm conditions this weekend will also be able to receive a vaccine at parks across south-west London, Greenwich Park in London and Liverpool’s Sefton Park.
NHS staff will also be jabbing at the Tate Modern art gallery on London’s Bankside on Friday evening where DJ and influencer Zoe London will also be performing.
The online web tool that allows people to find their nearest centre by simply entering their postcode will be updated from today, making it easier than ever to get a jab in the arm.
NHS medical director for primary care, Dr Nikki Kanani, said: “You can pop into Primark, enjoy the sun in the park, and explore the art at the Tate, while also protecting yourself and your loved ones by getting a vaccine this weekend.
“From high street shops to mosques and sports grounds, our incredible staff together with our wonderful volunteers are doing all they can to make sure it is easier than ever for people, particularly young adults to get protected.”
