Sure, there are plenty of restaurants and cafés in Bristol you could go to but do they specialise in all things grilled cheese? Luckily, Bristolians can venture to a four-wheeled paradise dedicated to the gooey and gorgeous ingredient with the arrival of brand new food truck, The Cheese Guys.
Driving around Bristol to bring us plenty of cheesy goodness, the food truck is from the team behind Two Belly, who have their own cheese and bottle shop on Blackboy Hill and another within The Bristol Loaf on Bedminster Parade. The first outing for The Cheese Guys food tuck saw them serving up cheese toasties and raclette fries from the Left Handed Giant taproom close to the start of the Railway Path.
According to The Cheese Guys, it all started in their dinky kitchen from their little shop making toasties for hungry lunchtime folk. Before they knew it they began slinging cheese toasties and raclette fries at festivals and events growing beyond more than just the shop’s side hustle, catching the street food bug and not looking back.
The Cheese Guys’ most recent menu featured toasties in magnificent flavours like rhubarb kimchi with Monty’s Cheddar; Left Handed Giant stout rarebit with a three cheese bechamel, beer mustard & Monty’s Cheddar; onion three ways (beery onions, crispy onions and spring onions) with Monty’s & Corra Linn. Plus, their already famous gooey raclette piled on top of rosemary salted fries.
And it’s not just the gorgeous and exciting flavours by The Cheese Guys to get excited about. Two Belly offers exciting local, national and international cheeses from Montgomery’s Cheddar of Somerset to Alp Blossom cheese of Austria.
Plus, Two Belly recently pushes the culinary envelope launching their own cheesy gelato range with ice cream shop, Panunzio’s Kitchen. The cheese shop offers three flavours- farmhouse cheddar, blue cheese and goat’s cheese all using cheese from their counter.
Be sure to keep our eyes peeled on The Cheese Guys’ Instagram account to see where their cheese truck is heading to next so you can bag a toastie or raclette fries or both.
