With a yo-ho-ho and a bottle of… juice, if you’re good, head on down to The Mall this summer break. A climbable wooden pirate ship has opened at Cribbs Causeway for the summer. It’s part of The Mall’s new children’s water garden, which also has a kid-controlled giant bubble machine and a water play stream. It’s perfect for keeping the little ones busy, while you rest your feet after a hard day’s shopping.
It replaces The Mall’s usual summer beach this year, which has left some disappointed. But seeing as it has basically been raining for the entirety of summer, and far from ‘beach weather’, maybe it’s for the best. There’s also space for picnic blankets, as well as an ice cream van for summer refreshments, all located out the front of the shopping centre. There’s also a unicorn to spot!
“Have you checked out our new water garden yet? A great place to have fun and splash around,” said Cribbs on Instagram. “Come and explore our new water play area in the garden at the front of the centre. All free of charge for you to enjoy!”
With summer break now in swing, we’re sure many families are looking for things to do with their kids. Luckily, there are plenty of exciting activities to do in Bristol. Including a new high ropes experience in Ashton Court that lets those aged seven and up swing through the tree tops. While the SS Great Britain is letting children visit for free this summer!
That’s your summer sorted!
