Since the fire broke out in Pinkmans Bakery on Park Street over the summer, we’ve sorely missed devouring its devilishly tasty sour-dough-nuts (more often than we’d like to admit). But while it doesn’t look like this will be reopening anytime soon, it has stopped the Bristol bakery from being busy elsewhere across the city.
Pinkmans Cafe on Gloucester Road has been going strong since 2021, but Pinkmans de Noche launched outside of the Clifton Down Shopping Centre back in September. Now it’s teamed up with a local cake maker, ANNA Cake Couture, to open a fourth site at Barton Manor.
“We’ve been keeping a little Christmas Secret from you all!” said Anna Cake Couture in Instagram. “Opening tomorrow in Barton Manor (BS2 0RL) ANNA X Pinkmans. We’ll be serving up @yallahcoffee with Cupcakes, Sandwiches, Macarons, Pastries & more!! Come down from 8am till 3pm everyday 🤩
ANNA X Pinkmans, which opens today (December 7), had been kept under wraps until last night, with the news revealed on Instagram. Known for its beautifully crafted specialist cakes and gooey-centred cookies, as well as colourful macarons and creative cupcakes, this marks the third location for ANNA Cake Couture – which also runs cake shops in Clifton and Newport in Wales.
Sour-dough-nuts don’t look like they’ll be making an appearance at ANNA X Pinkmans, but we’re pretty sure Anna can more than take care of your sweet tooth (you can also head to Pinkmans’ other locations for these treats). Open from 8am to 3pm every day, it’ll merge these two institutions’ talents, with cupcakes, bread, sandwiches, macarons, pastries, Yallah coffee and more available at the counter.
If you fancy something a bit more specialist, Anna has a whole range of treats that you can order from her website. During the Christmas season, she’s also crafted some especially festive cupcakes and crescent cakes, perfect for the big day! Head to the website here to see more.
You can find ANNA X Pinkmans at Barton Manor, BS2 0RL.
