Are we going crazy or did we write about a new mini-golf course coming to Bristol only yesterday? Nope, that happened. Well, here we go again as Big Fang Collective has confirmed its plans to launch a new multi-concept destination in Bristol later this year – which could combine crazy golf, karaoke and an arcade.
Putting the crazy back into crazy golf, Golf Fang has revitalised the pastime – with some truly bonkers holes – in its six locations across the UK. Just as an example, the 18-hole course at its Birmingham location offers a twisted and carnival-style take on crazy golf with holes designed around a sex shop, The Jeremey Kyle Show, and a men’s toilet.
Each location is unique, however, and we expect the Bristol location to reflect the city’s individuality. Big Fang Collective plans to collaborate with local creatives and will likely utilise Bristol’s incredible graffiti scene – creating a ‘Sprayground’ where street artists can be let loose without facing retribution. It will also use artists, designers, chefs, joiners, creatives, and DJs from local communities.
It’s not all about crazy golf though. These three new multi-concept destinations (also in London and Nottingham) will mark a bold evolution in Big Fang’s plans as they could also bring in their newest concepts of Big Fang Karaoke, an immersive karaoke destination, Big Fang Arcade – which will be rolled out in Cardiff too later this month.
“We are excited to be able to confirm that we are in the process of launching new sites in Bristol, Nottingham & London,” said Big Fang Collective. “The cities provide the perfect location for the Big Fang brand, with creative communities and thriving atmospheres, we think we will fit right in.
“We’re still to confirm the Big Fang brands launching in each site, but we’re planning multi-concept venues that bring together immersive experiences for our audiences. We look forward to sharing more about our growth journey in each city”.
So where’s it going to be? Well, we don’t know that bit yet, but it is in a “prime central location”. And when’s it opening? Not sure either, but it’ll open at some point after the summer. So what do you know about this ‘multi-concept destination’? Not a lot, but when do, we’ll be sure to let you know! To learn more about Big Fang Collective’s other locations head here.
