Hot diggity dog!
You may already know Squeezed for its epic and refreshing lemonades and mouthwatering burgers, however the restaurant owner is now branching out into hot dog territory. And if it’s anything like their burger, fries and lemonade combos, the new restaurant, Dog Town, is bound to be damn delicious.
An award-winning burger chef has joined forces with craft beer bar and bottle shop, Beer Necessities, to launch Dog Town in one of the shipping containers at Wapping Wharf. Just around the corner from his burger and lemonade bar, Squeezed, the owner Alex Hayes has launched his new restaurant serving up the popular American delicacy.
Dog Town offers four hot dogs for you to choose from, ranging in price from £7 for the ‘Bandy Bandy’ up to £7.90 for the ‘Murrarana’, alongside two varieties of fries. Plus, non-meat eaters needn’t miss out as two of the dogs can be made vegetarian and the other two can be made vegan.
But it gets better. By collaborating with neighbouring Wapping Wharf business, Beer Necessities, customers of Dog Town can also wash the tasty food down with a refreshing beer slushy. The drink is made using Bristol brewery, Wiper & True’s York Street Helles lager.
And in true Squeezed style, Dog Town will be bringing cracking and affordable meal deals such as a hot dog, fries and non-alcoholic slushy for just a tenner. There is also the option to upgrade for an extra £2 in order to enjoy a boozy beer slushy with your meal.
Squeezed also recently announced that its St Werburger (a double beef patty with cheese, smoked bacon, caper aioli, chipotle ketchup and confit shallots) has made to the finals of the National Burger Awards 2021. The burger joint also picked up the burger award back in 2019.
