There have been many Prides in Bristol since the late ‘70s, but Bristol Pride has only been running in its current format since 2010. Now a staple of the city calendar, this coming year sees the 15th anniversary of the iconic LGBT+ celebration on Saturday, July 12 – and now the main headliner has been announced.
Canadian alt-pop visionary and global icon Allie X will headline the Main Stage, marking her long-awaited debut performance in Bristol and performing exclusively in the South West as part of her Girl With No Face tour. With over half a billion streams, expect a bold, high-concept live show, filled with her signature synth-pop sounds and rebellious spirit.
Daryn Carter MBE, Director of Bristol Pride, said: “Allie X is a phenomenal addition to this year’s line-up. Her music resonates deeply with the LGBT+ community, not just for its sound but for its message of self-expression and defiance. Her live shows are electric, and her debut in Bristol is something we’ve been waiting for. It’s going to be HUGE!”
But Allie X – who will performing a range of her hits including Galina, Hello, Off With Her Tits and Paper Love – is but one of over 200 performers across five stages expected to perform. Previously announced, Cascada, known for hits like ‘Everytime We Touch’ and ‘Evacuate the Dancefloor,’ will also perform at the donation-only event on The Downs, as well as Kim Wilde, Ultra Naté, Brooke Lynn Hytes and more.
What else is happening for Bristol Pride 2025?
Before the Pride festival, the Parade March will weave through the city centre to give a voice to the LGBT+ community and combat prejudice. It’s expected to start at the bandstand end of Castle Park, with the two-mile walking parade taking in Broadmead, the Old City and Harbourside. This will lead to The Downs, where all the music is. Both are free to attend, but donations are actively encouraged upon entering the festival (a few quid will do).
More announcements of headliners and other musical acts will be revealed in early 2025. In addition to the extensive music line-up, Bristol Pride will offer a dynamic two-week programme featuring comedy, theatre, circus and sports events. This will start on Monday, June 28 and end on Saturday, July 12, with the Parade March and Pride Day festival and afterparties.
