In need of a glass of wine? Our first port of call is often the natural wine bar KASK in Bedminster—whose motto, ‘say no to shit wine’, is one we should all live by. Now, after almost six years in BS3, the team has ventured into North Bristol with a second bar.
Simply named KASK 2 at 243 Cheltenham Road, just past the Arches, on the corner of Zetland Road (you may remember it as the old French bistro, La Guinguette). Expect everything you know and love about KASK with just more space, more wine and more… everything!
Still championing natural and low-intervention wine, expect a larger by-the-glass list, five draft beers, craft cider and the team’s take on classic cocktails, including a martini designed by local heroes Spirit of Bristol. Plus, an on-site kitchen means there’s a regularly changing menu of bar snacks.
Charlie Taylor, co-founder of KASK, said: “The original KASK started as a way to get more people excited about good wine made by good humans – not in a stuffy, formal way but by showing how delicious, approachable and interesting it can be. Over the past six years, we’ve built the very best community around that idea.
“With KASK 2, we’re levelling up. More space to play, more room to pour and way more scope for the kind of bottles we get geeky about. KASK in Bedminster is similar to that little place you discover on a European short break; six years on, KASK 2 is a little louder but with the same no-nonsense approach to discovering something we know Bristol will love.”

In the past year, the team has travelled to Uruguay, Portugal, Austria, France and Italy, tasting hundreds of bottles to build what they’re calling ‘the most exciting wine list in the South West’ —including a dedicated selection of the best natural wines made in the UK. Many of these are made in tiny quantities and will hang around for just a few weeks.
Tastings will take centre stage at KASK 2, from casual walk-in flights to themed deep-dives and private events in a dedicated tasting room on the first floor. Whether you are dipping a toe into orange wine or already tracking fermentation temps on obscure Slovenian Pinot Gris, the aim is the same: help people find something they love, without the side of snobbery.
KASK 2 opened on Thursday, October 2, 2025. You can learn more about KASK here.
