Motion, which had its ‘Last Dance’ only on July 19, has already found a new location. The world-famous nightclub—the 11th best club in the world, according to DJ Mag—was forced to close after almost a decade after its lease was not renewed. But the club’s owners never gave up hope to #KEEPMOTIONMOVING.
After leaving the Grade-II listed warehouse behind Bristol Temple Meads, where it first started hosting parties in 2006, Motion 2.0 will launch at a new space in St Phillips this October. The Victoria Terrace space will also host a new event series “championing local artists and independent brands.”
“This is our way of letting the new venue grow organically, just like the early days of Motion. A space for the city’s underground to connect, discover and shape its own future,” said Motion, with the first eight club nights now revealed for In:Motion Presents: MOMENTUM.
The new club night will kick off on October 17, 2025, with Tottenham native DJ AG. Then, the following night (October 18), welcome Bradley Zero, founder of Rhythm Section, Berlin-based Gabrielle Kwarteng, and the soulful UK twist of Wallace. The likes of Booka Shade [LIVE], Friction, Koven, Harriet Jaxxon, Elkka b2b Cinthie, Laidback Luke, Jazzy, Sally C, Isaac Carter, Luuk Van Dijk and Kiimi are also lined up.
Describing the new club night, Motion calls it “a creative lab in our new home where we test ideas and shape the future of Bristol’s nightlife together.” It’s not empty words either; they’re actively looking for artists, brands, and collaborators to get involved with the new space (via info@motion-bristol.com).
