There’s no ‘Upfest Presents…’ this year, and it’s not expected to return until 2026. But that hasn’t stopped Bristol from being a street art haven. This May, the homeless charity Help Bristol’s Homeless is hosting its very own Paint Fest in Bedminster – and inviting some of the UK’s best artists along.
Over the weekend of May 10 & 11, between 10AM to 4PM both days, the likes of Inkie, Cheba, Jody, and many more will be painting up a storm on Spring Street. They’ll be transforming HBH’s converted shipping containers, which offer “safe and secure accommodations for those who are sleeping rough.”
This is a great way to see your favourite artists creating masterpieces up close, with all-day live painting, music, and food. Other street artists include Andrew Burns Colwill, Andy Council, Dibz, Fade, Jenksart, Joe Greenaway, Miss Peggy Brown, Mural Minded, Paul Monsters, Pekoe, Shade One, and SoK.
You can also tuck into HBH’s legendary Jerk Chicken Wraps, along with many other culinary delights, which were made famous on Andi Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts last year. And the best part is that the Paint Fest is free to attend, you just need to grab a ticket, which you can do so by heading here.
Who is Help Bristol’s Homeless?
Describing itself as different from “many other homeless charities,” Help Bristol’s Homeless prioritises getting people into safe, stable and comfortable accommodations first. With this security, “we empower our residents with the confidence they need to take control of their lives, enabling them to move forward into independent living.”
Through its flagship project, Help Bristol’s Homeless Village, its converted shipping containers provide temporary accommodation and support services for people who are homeless. While HPH Paint Fest 2025 is a free event, if you’d like to donate to the charity, you can do so by heading here.
