If you’re already worrying about how to fill the time during the school holidays, then fret no longer! Hoo-Ha! Festival, Bristol’s biggest free festival for kids, is back this August with two jam-packed days of activities. You don’t even need a ticket either—just turn up and party!
On Thursday, August 28 and Friday, August 29, Bristol Beacon will once again host the ultimate end-of-summer party. The two-day event will be bursting with shows, shenanigans and spectacles before the school holidays come to an end—from Bridgehouse to Lantern Hall.
While nothing’s been confirmed yet, you can guarantee plenty of dancing, music, crafts, science and games. Last year saw live musical performances, a wild family gameshow, rounds of crazy golf, interactive science shows, and so much more. We can only expect even more creative workshops, interactive activities, and musical opportunities this time around.
The Hoo-Ha! Festival will follow another free, family-friendly festival in the city this August. Old City Sounds is set to take over the city centre on Saturday, August 23, with an array of live performances in various venues. In particular, you can expect The Kids Zone at St Stephen’s Church to offer a host of children’s workshops on the day.
But, from the M Shed to We The Curious, Bristol is full of fun and exciting activities for children and families during the school holidays. Better still? Your kids will be able to travel on city buses for free during the school holidays—meaning there’s no excuse not to get out and about in the city this summer!
