Like a midnight snack? Well, you’re in luck. Cult dessert brand Insomnia Cookies is opening its first Bristol store on College Green next week (Saturday, November 29). From the iconic Chocolate CHUNK (#ChunksNotChips) to the indulgent Bueno Deluxe, it’s serving its gooey, melt-in-the-mouth cookies until 3am.
To celebrate the launch, the store will be giving out FREE cookies to all guests when it opens its doors at 2pm. You’ll need to get down earlier than that, however, as the first person in the queue will win a year’s supply of Insomnia cookies and the first 50 to win an exclusive Insomnia merch bag.

A second event later that evening will showcase what has earned Insomnia its cult following: its late-night opening hours. Until 1am, more FREE cookies will be handed out, with a live DJ playing from 8pm to get the vibes going. The lucky person to make the 1000th transaction of the night will also bag a year’s supply of cookies.
To sweeten Bristol’s big debut, Insomnia are giving away a FREE deluxe cookie with any purchase on opening day. Simply sign up for Insomnia Rewards here and claim your sweet treat in-store.
Who are Insomnia Cookies?
Founded in 2003, Seth Berkowitz dreamt up the idea while he was a college student looking for late-night snacks. Insomnia Cookies now boasts more than 350 bakeries across North America and has expanded rapidly in the UK in the last year, with Birmingham being its latest opening.
What should I order?

Perfect for the colder months, check out the spiced and sugary Carrot Cake Cookie for a delicious twist on a classic treat, while the Cosy Crew Combo, including six cookie flavours and two milkshakes, is perfect for finishing a night out with friends. The ultimate Insomnia Build Your Own Packs feature up to 12 cookies, stuffed with a personalised choice of classic and deluxe flavours.
Millie Ralston, Head of Marketing at Insomnia Cookies, commented: “Bristol is the place to be for late-night foodie stops. It’s vibrant and full of students looking for their go-to takeaway after a night out. We’re excited to bring something sweeter into the mix, with our ever-growing menu of indulgent treats, and we can’t wait to open up our fifth store on the 29th of November for Bristolians to enjoy.”
