Been taking it steady on the booze recently? Well, step up your game this late May Bank Holiday weekend with the return of Bedminster Beer Trail. Heading into its fourth year, the ultimate BS3 pub crawl has Bristol’s beer enthusiasts ticking off the very best independent pubs and bars on North and East Street (and beyond).
From Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25, drink yourself along a tipsy trail of 13 of Bedminster’s best independent pubs, bars, breweries and taprooms. More than 100 different beers will be available to try across the weekend, including exclusive one-off brews and special collaborations.
Plus, alongside all the beer, venues will also host exclusive experiences throughout the weekend, including meet-the-brewer events, beer and food pairings, DJ sets, and live music – offering something for casual drinkers and craft aficionados alike. The best part though, complete the trail and unlock a 10% discount on draft beer at all venues until the end of May.
How do I take part in the Bedminster Beer Trail?
Launched as a way to shine a light on BS3’s hospitality scene, the Bedminster Beer Trail is free for all to join. There’s no ticket or entry fee or anything. Just turn up, grab a map and start drinking. Maps are available to pick up at all participating venues, allowing you to create your own route and collect stamps as you go.
Participating venues for the 2025 Trail include the Bristol Beer Factory Taproom, Tobacco Factory, The Spotted Cow, Lupe, Bar 57, KASK, Local, The Steam Crane, The Dame, The Coronation, On Point Brewing, Alpha Bottleshop and Bruhaha – all proudly independent and all pouring the very best of local and regional beer.
Mike Fenlon, co-owner of Lupe Bar & Kitchen and Alpha Bottle Shop, said: “The Trail has grown every year and 2025 is going to be huge. It’s not just about beer – it’s about the people and places that make this part of the city feel special. And with over 100 beers on offer, there’s genuinely something for everyone.”
Make sure to check out this year’s limited-edition Trail Beer, brewed in collaboration with New Bristol Brewery. Named ‘It’s Bemmie not Bedmo’, the beer is a playful nod to the area’s strong, local identity. To learn more about this self-guided tour, head to the Bedminster Beer Trail Instagram here.
