While some may obsess over where to find a perfect Guinness pour in Bristol, I just want a pint that costs less than £5—an increasingly difficult task when the current inflation rate means prices are going up every time I blink. But this has to be the best bargain in Bristol when it comes to boozing.
You can now buy four pints for £10 at the Colosseum in Redcliffe, every day, between 5 and 8PM. Working out as £2.50 a pint, choose between lager or cider for what has to be one of the cheapest pints in the city. That’s it. End the article. Oh, wait—there’s more!
See, the Colosseum, which only reopened last year, isn’t the only Bristol pub offering this incredible deal. Because the owners behind the iconic venue, the World Famous Dive Bars group, also own Mother’s Ruin and The Crown (both around St Nicholas Market).
That’s right. All three pubs, all within a 15-minute walk of each other, offer the same deal that matches 2006 prices. Meaning you (and your most trusted mates) can set up a nice little impromptu afternoon pub crawl whenever you like. And they’re unlikely to be the last Bristol pubs where you can grab four pints for £10.
The owners have also recently bought The Greyhound in Fishponds, which is due to set to reopen after five years on Thursday, April 17. So hopefully those in the far-flung east of Bristol will also be able to experience this incredible offer. But, they’ll have plenty of other reasons to pop down too, we’re sure.
Mother’s Ruin and The Crown have become two of the most beloved music venues in the city under their guidance. Meanwhile, the Colosseum has been reborn with mouth-watering Mediterranean-style tapas, hand-crafted cocktails and continental draught options. Better still, all three are open until the early hours most nights (At least until 2AM).
